Meenakshi Amman Temple is a historic Hindu temple located on the southern bank of the Vaigai River in the temple cityof Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India .It is dedicated to Parvati, known as Meenakshi, and her consort, Shiva, here named Sundareswarar .It was on the list of top 30 nominees for the "New Seven Wonders of the World"

It is also known as RajaRajeswara Temple Rajarajeswaram and Brihadeshwara Temple.It is one of the largest temples in India and is an example of Tamizh architecture during the Chola period.Built for Raja Raja Chola I and completed in 1010 CE, the temple turned 1000 years old in 2010.


Gangaikonda Cholapuram

(Tamil: கங்கைகொண்ட சோழபுரம்) was built during medieval India and was erected as the capital of the Cholas by Rajendra Chola I, the son and successor of Rajaraja Chola, the great Chola who conquered a large area in South India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Sumatra, Kadaram (Kedah in Malaysia), Cambodia and others at the beginning of the 11th century A.D.



Thillai Nataraja Temple

Thillai Natarajah Temple, Chidambaram or Chidambaram temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in the town of Chidambaram, East-Central Tamil Nadu, South India. Lord Shiva is captured in pose as Nataraja performing the Ananda Tandava ("Dance of Delight") in the golden hall of the shrine Pon Ambalam (பொன் அம்பலம்) .The name of the town of this shrine, Chidambaram comes from the Tamil word Chitrambalam (சிற்றம்பலம்) - "small hall/stage"; also spelled Chithambalam (சிட்டம்பலம்), from citt/chitthu and ambalam - meaning "wisdom of this open stage/atmosphere"
